Color Nook/Rooted on memory card question

Hi,

I recently did the root for the color nook on memory card for my son for Christmas. My question is, he currently has an android phone with gmail and I used his gmail for him to access the rooted part. So in sense, if I understand it, the "tablet" part is like his phone. If he were not to have an android phone anymore, does that mess up things for the "tablet" part and how it interacts? Would he still be able to do downloads in the market etc?

Thanks

By tablet part are you talking about your SD install? Having or not having an Android phone will not have anything to do with your SD install.

Yes, I was meaning tablet as the SD install. So, if I am understanding correctly, he could get rid of his Android phone and still use the NC with android market to get apps. I am such a noobie to all of this, I am surprised I figured out how to make the root work. :-[

Yes, the only relation is his gmail account. He can link as many devices as he wants to it. he still has access unless he completely closes his gmail account.
