I found the Gnexs GPS to work very good...It burned the battery down rapidly. Even charging it went down. The GPS itself though worked great. Biggest difference with my Nexus 5 is how efficient the Snapdragon 800 is. Can play music for 1000 miles(across OH coincidently ;) ) and run GPS and it finishes with a full charge while plugged in. I don't notice any difference in the actual GPS though.

I'm not sure if the gps issues were specific to the Galaxy Nexus. But my S2 had some issues as well. At least it did with the first few updates.

Yeah a couple of my s2 phones GPS was acting up but they was better than the multiple gnexs I received. But love the ones on the nex 4 and the s4.

I currently have the Nexus 5, and GPS on this phone is great. I've had no problems with it and it locks really quick, which is great.

I'm glad they stepped that up on the nex4 and 5.

The Galaxy Nexus can get really hot and it only use aGPS, the Nexus 4 and 5 use GLONASS as well to help with faster locking.
