Comparing S20+ to iPhone SE.

I've been thinking of trying out an iPhone after having run Android almost since it's inception.

I was thinking of getting an iphone SE to try out but I'm not sure that's a fair comparison. I know a few people in this forum use both which is why I'm posting this question here.

My main phone use is reading email, news, financial news and a couple other things. I use the camera very little, video occasionally to record live music for myself and friends that we use when working out material.

A very big deal for me is my music collection which is huge and I move sections on and off my phone to have it available when I want it handy. I tried an iPhone 6s years ago but iTunes had me about ready to throw the phone at the wall and I returned it. I've read that IOS handles music differently now.

With Android I keep my music in folders by artist and album.

Can people here running both an S20 and iPhone tell me if they think an SE would be a fair comparison or would the price/quality differences be too great to compare the two OS's?

Well do you prefer big screens or smaller ones. There is a major size difference here.

I know the SE is a much smaller phone. My purpose in getting the SE is strictly to try out the OS to find out whether or not I would like the OS before buying a full sized iPhone.

My question is whether or not the overall quality of the phone would seriously impact my ability to make a judgement between IOS and Android.

The plan would be to make a decision between operating systems and if I go with IOS I would sell off both phones and get the full sized iPhone, otherwise I will just sell the SE and keep the S20+.

I used Apple for years and my music library was about 20,000 songs. I was using iTunes match but it became flakey, stopped showing albums on my device that were on my laptop. I went to Apple Music for the free trial and it was junk. Been using Spotify family plan for the last couple of year and am way happier. Last iPhone was the XS Max.

The SE is running the very latest OS and has the top of the line processor. It should be an excellent phone to check out ios. I much prefer iPhone for music as I have a personal library I use. Android can't make up their mind what they're doing so I use PowerAmp Pro.

It isn't exactly a fair comparison. Even though the SE has the new processor on paper, it's throttled down and has less RAM than the 11s. The battery life is also worse. The only iPhone comparable to the S20+ is the 11 Pro max unfortunately.
