I set my pin at night and are not able to remember what it is now. When trying to boot into recovery to install a recovery image or to do a factory reset the phone only goes into the LG logo and then goes to a blue screen that does not change. I am not able to download an app to unlock the screen as the phone is set up though my school gmail which does not allow the use of Google talk, which is the only way to install apps from the Android market. I have tried to re-install the stock LG operating system but I get a fatal error message on the computer software. Bestbuy was not able to help and neither were the LG people so I am hoping that you guys will be able to! I need my phone by Friday for a trip I am going on, or else I am going to have to buy a new phone. Thanks in advance for any help you guys are able to provide!

you can connect through ADB, temp shell root, and use some adb commands to wipe the password only.

the shell root goes away after a reboot.

thats assuming your stock.

if you already have a custom rom, just flash it again through recovery and start over (download apps and sign into gmail again)

If you keep typing in the wrong password until it locks you out for 30 seconds, you can click the I forgot password button and it will allow you to log in using your gmail address and gmail password;)

What he said. It'll then let you change it right away I believe. :P

Yeah. Just keep trying and then use the 'forgot password' button. Honestly, this sounds a little "fishy." as that button is easily seen as soon as it pops up. So, the only way that wouldn't work is if you didn't know your google account password, or should I say, the password for the Google account that the phone is locked in with. Hmmm...
