I'm going to keep in simple.

What do you do for a living?
Where at?
What did you eat for lunch?

I work as a change management analyst at a third party administrative health insurance company.

+I had left over ribs and salad for lunch.
I referee hockey professionally
All over US
Lunch was cold pasta, grilled chicken, and broccoli with a greek dressing and parm cheese.

Currently an environmental scientist working on remediation of an old nuclear site, but recently accepted into grad school for a mid-life career change to apocalypse management (or at least preparedness). Lunch is still a couple of hours away, but will include a ham & cheese sandwich and an orange.

haha you're telling me. I'm so bored now that hockey is over. So much free time hahah.

No you don't have to know anyone to get into it. I started working junior games at the Junior B and A (tier 3) level a few years ago as a part of the USA Hockey Officiating Development Program. I worked my way up through that to the USHL and am now in the ECHL. You get supervised on a regular basis and that's how you move up. If you suck you don't go anywhere and if you are good you MIGHT go somewhere.

............

lol -- sorry. feel left out? What software company? any update on lunch? i had chinese :)

I assume at the ECHL you can make a decent life/living? i'd imagine the perks are pretty good as far as travel and lodging. I'd be content with that. Do you have another job to sustain the off season? I'm from the Philly area -- tough to see Flyers West hoist the cup and i'm already excited for next season; can't wait.

The money isn't great but it isn't terrible either. It's not like there are many jobs available anyway.... My goal is the NHL and I have an age cutoff that if I don't make it by then, I will give the dream up and go do college hockey and get a "real job" haha. I live in one of the league's apartments and they pay for that along with travel, per diem, hotels, ect. I get to travel on someone else's dime, see some really cool places, and work some really good hockey. Not much I would rather be doing right now. In the summer I usually work at Officials Wearhouse (sell referee equipment) and they also own a pro shop. This summer I got another gig making a little more money.

All my friends that I went to college with say I'm just living the dream and it couldn't be more true.

sorry to the OP for hijacking your thread, but i must reply!

Growing up and even now, i've been a super fan of military power; especially in air. My fav. classic plane being the F4U Corsair, and all time favorite being the F16. I just got a craving for that long horn steak sauce.

You better believe i googled it; just think of it as IT/operations and implementation. Better idea on the the hotdogs -- better tasting hot dogs are worth more. I'd start with Nathans or Hebrew Nationals...Sabretts are just too thin for my liking.

hm -- i hope i never get audited. If i do, you're my new best friend. Cheezits are da bomb diggity -- yes, i just said that.

i see what you did there. har har. Graphic design is a field i wish i really got into when i was in college, damnit. i'm jealous. I've never had anything but coffee and donuts from DD. Good sammich, though?

Fishmeetfish eats chicken and brocc. nice.

It is amazing to see military power at work! Most of the navy/marine instructors I've flown with were F-18 drivers, but some of the navy fellas flew the F-14s. I'll let you guys know what my official platform will be, find out Monday afternoon.
