compress nand back up

I would like to know how to compress my nand back up? The size of the back up is 1.2 GB

Its in the recovery options when you backup... below the options say to compress but takes longer... its well worth it... 3 somethin megs compared to over a gig....

I'm using clockworkmod recovery for AlphaRevX v4.0.1.4 and i dont c that option to compress. All i c is backup and restore once i click backup it goes through the process without asking me to compress.

I used TWRP recovery.. that may be your issue. The sticky in this forum has instructions how to get TWRP recovery... good luck.

Has anyone done a comparison of the 2 recoveries? A nice little side by side?

Agreed.

It backs up / restores files and flashes ROMS. Everything else is useless to me.

Thanks for the info. I was able to flash twrp recovery and I found the option to compress the nand back up.

with the TWRP what options did all of you use? just the top 3 or more like the recovery, wimax, etc.?

I was going to ask the same question. I chose all of them but I think when u do that it take up more space. Hopefully the top 3 is all we need. Then I will do a nand again.

I did them ALL... why not.. its compressing if you tell it to
