I've had my Inspire for about 6 months now, and I haven't really had any problems with it. It's my first Android phone, and I have no complaints about it per se, but the recent articles on yahoo and wired.com about Carrier IQ have got me wanting to root my phone with the ARHD. I just don't wanna brick my phone...I've seen another post about the one step process advanced ace hack kit and ARHD 6.1.4. Is it really as easy as it's described? Would it compare as far as level of easiness (lol) as say putting pandora on a PSP 1001?

Hello,

Welcome to the forum. People seem to not realize that 'rooting' your device is not a necessity, but rather a personal choice. If you're in doubt, then first read on the pros' and cons' of rooting your device. And yes, something that I love to tell people who aren't sure of whether or not they want to root their phone ? Rooting Void Your Warranty.

I hope your time spent here is very useful. See you around. ;)

Rooting is a personal preference.
But, to unlock the true potential of your Android device, ( and to remove some of that bloat-ware that comes preinstalled) Rooting your device, is a must.
Just note, that it may void yor warranty, and if your not willing to devote hours of your life to tinkering with your phone, (even the most tenured Android users do it) then opening this door may not be for you.
