I ordered a 64GB Nexus 6 from Amazon because it was on sale for $399 and I wanted to just give it a try to see if I might want to keep it as a spare phone knowing I'd have 30 days to return it. I never imagined that I would absolutely fall in love with this phone. I haven't been able to put it down. I have a brand new Note 5 just sitting there sim-less because I can't bring myself to take my sim card out of this Nexus 6. I was never particularly a fan of stock Android, but using Marshmallow on this beast may be changing that. This thing is so buttery smooth that it's ridiculous. I think the icing on the cake might be that I just watched something on Netflix during my lunch break and these speakers...wow! As a long time iPhone user, I'm finally gaining an appreciation for the choice that Android affords us.

Wow, and coming from a Note 5? Nice going, Google! :) I'm still on the fence about trying it out. I've heard great things, but I KNOW I'll miss the S-Pen. And the Note 5's camera is amazing. In your opinion, how does it compare to the Nexus one?

The Nexus camera is decent, but the Note 5 camera is simply in a different league. Also, the Nexus 6 screen is beautiful and you might think it's among the best you've seen as long as you don't look at it next to the Note 5. Samsung still makes the best screens in the business IMO.

That's what I 'feared' haha. I couldn't 'love' the G4 because I kept looking at it next to the Note. Although the vibrant, eye-popping colors of Sammy's displays aren't for everyone.

For me it's not even about the eye-popping colors. I tone those down anyway because I used the amoled photo screen setting. It's just that the overall color quality and image is unmatched.

Oh man, thanks for posting this. I was leaning more towards the 6P, but like you was going to use as a spare with my Note 4, because I still love my Note 4. I wanted the newer and better 6P, because of the fingerprint sensor and the Camera. You can't beat the price of the N6 though. I especially was won over by the size when I got to play with it at AT&T. You may have just convinced me to try the N6 first.

If I don't like it, like you said, return it and get the newer 6P. I'll probably end up just like you though, Loving it. Unless I get a faulty unit, which is the only thing that scares me. I read a lot of negative comments on the reviews on amazon about phone restarting and back of phone separating.

And it's Moto!

I'm with you... My Note 5 has been sitting in my drawer a lot since getting my Nexus 6. I still want a 6P though...lol

I think the separation problem was primarily with earlier units. I have had mine for 2 months (from Amazon) and zero problems and it never gets hot. I sold my Note 4 and my G4 rarely gets used because I absolutely love this phone and can't put it down and that was with Lollipop. It is so smooth, fast and oh boy... those speaker(s) and the battery life is quite a bit better on 6.0.

I'm getting great battery life on Marshmallow. I don't even charge it at night sometimes.

I upgraded from a Samsung Galaxy S3, so this N6 feels huge to me. I am loving it. I bought it used and activated it a week ago. I still don't know what to do with it when I'm walking around and that's even when wearing a jacket. I'm afraid to put it in my pocket! No idea how it'll be next spring/summer when wearing shorts! But this thing is a beast, loving MM.

I got my 1st nexus couple weeks ago. it was replaced because of faulty back cover coming off...replacement had same issue!! 3rd nexus came without cover issue lol...I turn on phone and woow the worst screen iv ever seen...brightness and color accuracy are soo bad. everything is red and I can't see the screen outdoors in sunny day(adaptive off)..I wonder how Google greenlight that phone for production.its supposed to be a multimedia phone with the dual front speakers(sound is very good tho). I got a note 4 now and I'm happy

I received my 64gb N6 yesterday afternoon. Loving it! Thanks to the OP for posting his opinion! I really thought I wanted the 6P with it being the latest and greatest, and I'm sure it's a great phone, but man the dual front facing speakers alone, that's the kicker for me. My previous Note phones were a total fail in this department. I'm loving the larger and definitely more accurate keyboard. Pure Android is a bit different, but not at all anything that scares me. Took me awhile to find some apps for it, the camera, not sure yet on how good, but I've taken some acceptable indoor pics.

The thing that really surprises me is how many people say "The phone is BIG"! Really? Coming from a Note 4 and previous Note phones, I barely notice any increase in size in the phone. I'm not a big guy at all nor do I have big hands. I will say the phone does feel a little heavier and feels solidly built.

I decided to try Project Fi, and so far indoors anyways, no problems really. Have to see later how it does out in the real world outside. Thanks again for posting this, because I'd probably only miss the Fingerprint sensor on the new 6P, otherwise this phone is great. I knew there was a reason it left a big impression on me after seeing it and playing with it only about 10 minutes at a local ATT Store!

Of course it doesn't feel big if your used to a Note... It's also a really big phone! You should spend a week with my wife's Droid Mini, then go back to the N6, so you can appreciate the size more. ;-)

I got mine in late July (right about the 31st) of this year and my battery did expand, so the issue was not entirely fixed.
Other than that though, I have/had no problems.
I just got my replacement so im happy bout that :)
