Configure browser to open to bookmarks?

So, right now my phone always opens up to the last page I viewed whenever I open the web browser. I rarely ever have any use for that as I'm usually done browsing that page. Is there a way that when I hit the internet button it launces the bookmarks page so then I can just jump to a page? I hate having to wait for whatever web site I was previously on to load, then having to hit menu, scroll down to bookmarks, and then hit the site I wanted to go to in the first place.

Well, you could use the Bookmark widget on one of your home screens. It will show all of your bookmarks and you can just click one of those links to open your browser.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing right now. It just sucks that it uses up one of my screens to get to it. Even a "shortcut" to bookmarks would do what I want, but I can't seem to find one or make one.

That's why I use Dolphin browser, once you open if you swipe from left to right on the screen it opens up your bookmarks.

Thanks, I've been resisting switching browsers because I don't like having an app installed unless it's absolutely necessary but this might be a reason to switch.

I created a folder on the home screen and put the bookmark shortcuts in it. Where is the bookmark widget?

I use the "Folder Organizer" app to label and put my favorite bookmarks in a custom folder. Another way is to create a folder somewhere on your desktop, hold down the screen, select Shortcut, choose your Bookmark, then drag it into the folder after it has been added to your desktop.

Grab dmarks from android market. It can be configured to look like your browser in bookmark mode. Then, just launch dmarks instead of the browser. Plus, it has additional tools such as backup/restore, sort, etc.

I use Bookmark Tree in the Market. Supports Folders.
