Conflicting Reviews? (Finger Print, Camera, and Battery Life)

Like many I am torn between the Alcatel 4S, One Plus 3, and ZTE Axon 7. I was starting to lean toward the 4S but reviews seems to differ when it comes to the camera, finger print sensor, and battery life. So I am hoping someone with the phone or real life experience or some other expertise can comment.

1) Is the battery life good or bad? I know its subjective. But can I get through from 6am to 11pm? I know we can go back adn forth on it all depends on how you use your phone, etc. But sometimes a phone does well on standby and sometimes it does not. Assuming moderate-heavy use (web surf, facebook, SMS, emails, watch some videos, listen to streaming music, phone calls, snap chat, instagram, musically, but no gaming).

2) Some say the rear camera is pretty good and some say it is not. Some say the front camera is great with the flash too. Any way to gauge this?

3) The finger print sensor apparently sucks. So frustrating. Why have it at all if your not going to use it anyway? Is it really so bad that you end up not using it at all. Perhaps this can be fixed via an update?

On a side note the ZTE Axon 7 seems to be the better choice given the issues above. However, I don't like they way it looks and some folks say there are quality issues coming up as it rolls out.

I can't speak for the 4S, but I do have the Axon 7 and love it. Fingerprint sensor is very fast and works every time. Camera is fantastic in good light. None of these 3 cameras are superb in low light. If you have to have that, you need the Galaxy S7. I too looked at the 4S and One Plus 3 and at the end of the day decided on the Axon 7. None of these mid range phones will be perfect in every area. That's partly why they cost around $400.

With reagrd to the idol 4s

1) Battery life should get you through those hours. My usage is similar and I've been good so far. Had 20% left when I shut it down at 11:30 last night

2) Camera doesn't suck. Low light isn't spectacular but nothing is at this price

3) I've had 0 issues with the fingerprint sensor. I'm wondering if the last update fixed whatever issues that the reviewers were experiencing. It's not instant on but it isn't horrible by any stretch. I use it all the time.

Ultimately I chose the idol because it was $50 cheaper (probably closer to $100 if you factor in the cost of the incipio case and tempered glass protector that came with the idol). and the idol seems to have a better camera. At $399 the choice is definitely tougher. I also had a good experience with the idol 3 so I was a bit partial. My only issue appears to be a VR headset issue. I honestly don't care too much about that however.

So far the battery life on this phone has been great. Better than my wife's S7. The finger print scanner has worked like 98% of the time and with the case on it has been very easy to locate.

The camera is very good in the day (Almost as good as the S7) but in night time it is simply meh. So if you are taking outdoor shots you will not be disappointed.

My only gripe about this phone is that on warm days it can get very hot. Take for example yesterday. It was 92 degrees and my wife got very warm. Today on the other hand is a cool 72 and the phone is just fine. Other than that Alcatel hit this one out of the park.
