Confused about removing system apps

I rooted my phone because I wanted to get rid of the T-Mo/Samsung bloat ware clogging up my GS4G. When I try to uninstall the apps like airsync and double twist and telenav the option is still grayed out. Did I miss a step? Someone help please.
