Confused about the File Manager

When I open the file manager it displays the path "/sdcard/" at the top of the screen even with no sd card. Why display "sdcard"?

That's actually the internal (16GB or 32GB) memory.
If you insert a MicroSD in the tablet, it will appear as /Removable/MicroSD/ in the root directory.

That's done to keep apps from breaking (remember when the Dinc first came out) when they look for the path to storage
