Confused here, why are my bars at the top and bottom black and grey?

So I have been looking at quite a few videos comparing the two version of the Evos screen, and in all those videos the top and the bottom bar (where the phone button etc.. is) are blueish. Mine are just different shades of grey, why is that? Is it a game that the video recording plays on my eyes?

Also, I am getting my new Evo today from Best Buy since the last one had the screen lifting issue. How do you tell which manufacturer the screen was made by? I remember people saying you can tell by the battery cover?

Most likely its due to the recording device and brightness being used. But there are some videos floating around claiming that color temperatures very by screen.

Do you see any blue on your phone?

Also, I have been searching for a way to find out whether you have a Novatel or Epson screen...just can't find it.

apparently its by hardware version. but i've had no issues with my screen.

I don't have this issue. Maybe it is hardware version related.

I got my new replacement Evo today, version 0003. The screen looks exactly the same as the one of my old Evo which was a 0002. I can't tell a difference regarding color or brightness.
