Confused on HTC 10 Updates

I'm confused... It seems I am running Marshmallow 6.0.1 on my HTC One. I had a software update to 1.19.605.22 in May and then another update on 8.26.16 to 1.82.605.6. How come it says I'm up to date on my software even though it is showing a new update out there of 1.91.617.1???? It's not offering it to me to download it...

You have a carrier branded phone and not the unlocked model. The unlocked model is 617 and I think 605 is Verizon. Two different software versions for two different models.

Yes, I think I have a carrier phone, I bought it and have service through Verizon. Even still why would they show two different updates for the HTC 10, aren't they the same phones but what makes them different models????? I'll assume then that the 1.91.617.1 is not for my carrier phone version then??

I just recently got the same update as you and also on Verizon. Unlocked always get the updates ahead of carriers. Carriers like to take their sweet time getting them out. I'm thinking it's not a huge priority for them to be in a rush. They say it's because they check them out so thoroughly, but whatever the case may be it's the way it is. I would't worry about it
because: 1. Not a dang thing we can do to speed up the process. and 2. These are security patches anyway that you'll not notice anything new on. the big updates are way more annoying having to wait for, like the upcoming android "N". Probably see that maybe six months after release. You can always get a Nexus device when the new ones are released. They are updated fast and will be the first with android "N".
