Confusing problem - restricted signal on s5 mini, I can only access GSM
Hi, first off thanks for taking the time to read this and for any help offered...
I have an s5 mini with signal issues.
About 2-3 months ago I used my s5 as a sat-nav for a long journey, it overheated and conked out. I had to buy a replacement battery.
Ever since then I've had signal issues. If I select anything higher than "GSM Only" as an option on network settings, it will briefly find the higher speed (eg. H+) and then it will lose all signal, including the ability to make/recieve calls until I put it back on GSM only, maximising my phone at G speed. I have no problems with wifi.
It's not the sim card as ive changed it over and have the same issue.
I have factory reset my phone and also cleared the catche data; neither of which fixed the issue. Is it possible that internal damage from over heating could have effected my signal in this way?
