connect SM-T820 to hdmi connection on a monitor

how do connect SM-T820 to hdmi connection on a monitor?
samsung say it does not have MHL.

we have avi videos on the card. we wish to see them on the monitor.
I tried a chromecast dongle but it keeps loosing the signal.
we are using an app that is supposed to do this task.
we do not use chromehome as it wont work unless we let google listen into what is said near the tablet. (microphone MUST be on)

Unfortunately, if the device doesn't support the cable standards, then your only option is wireless.

There are a lot of apps that when downloaded on both devices work thorugh bluetooth or wifi.

Thanks, but that's not what the OP is asking about. They're looking for a way to mirror the screen to a TV/monitor using a cable.

The signal has to go through the router, so position things accordingly.

Actually, no, the mic isn't on. If it were you'd get terrible feedback if the tablet was near the TV. So Google isn't listening to anything. (Besides, all the scare of "Google can hear/see what I'm doing" is nonsense. They don't have the time [and almost no employees have access] to look at what you have going through their servers.)
