connected to wifi and 3G after root?

After rooting, for some reason, my phone is showing that im connected to wifi, which is true, AND the 3G icon is showing up. Anyone else having this problem? Should I unroot and reroot again? When I originally rooted, my data was not coming up, I had to do a hard reset to fix the data alone...
