Connected to wifi but apps only work on mobile data

Hello

I just started having a issue on pixel XL where apps like reddit, instagram..... won't load on wifi. I can access the internet using Chrome without issues and search but when I click on links it says not connected.

For some reason YouTube works without issue but everything else I need to be on mobile data.

There is no issue with my wifi as no other devices have this issue.

Just started happening this morning. Wondering with the December update or booting my phone on safemode it switches something that I'm not aware of.

Other things is the pixel weather still shows and news but if I try to load anything regarding my account in settings on wifi it says I'm not connected.

What happened??

Does this happen on other wi-fi networks as well, like at your local library or coffeeshop?
