Connecting camera or card reader

I am trying to decide between the TF or Touchpad. The majority of my use of a tablet is surfing the web, downloading photos while on vacations, and email so don?t really need a key pad.
Will it be possible to connect my camera via the mini HDMI or better yet an adaptor that I can connect a card reader?

Supposedly they are coming out with a USB adapter for the tablet.
In the mean time the TF tablet itself will take a micro sd card (up to 32gb).
Not sure if your camera use a micro sd card

Thanks for your help. Guess that kills the Transformer for me.
