Connecting G2X to my Laptop

I tried to connect my G2X to my laptop and it does not find drivers to install it. The reason I even connected it in the first place was I wanted to copy off the old data from my micro SD card so that i can format the SD card after... Any advice?

You need to go into settings/wireless & networks/tethering & portable hotspot and enable usb tethering.
Or just insert the memory into a card reader.

Yeah I don't know if it doesn't like windows 7 but it tried again but failed at installing the drivers.

Just go to SD card & Phone storage settings and check the box...Mass Storage Only

Mine worked right away..now I had another LG phone before so maybe my old drivers works on mine.
