Connecting phone as modem to my phone

I have internet connection on my lappy and want to connect my smarty to it so that my smarty can access internet from my lappy. Can anyone tell me how to use my lappy as modem to my smarty. Thank you in advance...

It's called an Ad Hoc connection. Android does not have this capability to connect to an Ad Hoc network, not in factory form. You will need to post some questions in either your specific phone forum, or a developers forum.

It can be done, but you will have to do some things you may not be comfortable with.
