I use a samsung s4 and I tried to connect it to my computer using Kies (I tried Smart switch also ) but the connection fails and the PC does not recognize my device. After some time of scanning i get a message that "connection or use may be restricted if device access (including writing) is prohibited by your computer's security program, or for any other reason."
But I am able to connect my android tablet (v2.2) to same PC using MobileGo. I tried MobileGo also for samsung but it failed.
I have enabled MTP option and also USB debugging on my mobile.
My questions
1) has it something to do with antivirus protection on USB devices? I disabled antivirus but still same result.
2) Along with the message as described above It gives a message under "Unlock" and says "you can only unlock the device on the device itself" What does that mean?
The device was purchased in US but being used successfully in India with my mobile carrier Airtel for calling, messaging and data packages..
Any help would be great!
