Connecting to multiple Bluetooth speakers

I am planning on buying a JBL FLIP Bluetooth speaker to connect to my HTC via Bluetooth. My question is can I buy 2 or more FLIP's and connect to my Android at the same time, so that I can cover a bigger area. I want to play music that can reach a big area.

I believe the answer is no. They cannot be connected at the same time.

I am pretty sure Sonos can do this. You connect the two speakers to a central hub then connect the phone to the hub. The hub will take the music playing from the phone and transmit it over to the speakers. Correct me if I am wrong.
