connecting to watch and truck at the same time

I have a new samsung 42 and a One Plus 5.When the phone is connected to the watch it will not connect to the Chevy bluetooth. Can this be corrected?

If the watch is connected to the phone as a full media audio device, no. My Huawei Watch connects to my phone using either the full Bluetooth connection OR as an audio destination. If connected with the full audio destination connection it would behave this way, but since I primarily use it visual notifications on my wrist my phone can then make the full connection to other audio devices.

AH! That was the missing part, the Galaxy Watch. The way it works with my Huawei, I just go into the Bluetooth settings for the watch on the phone and deselect the phone and media audio options. However, my watch is a WearOS device, I'm not sure if the watch will remain connected through the BTLE (Bluetooth low energy) connection for notifications and media control.
