Hello,

I will be traveling to Canada and was wondering if I can use my Verizon Note 4 (SM-N910V) with a sim card from any of the Canadian carriers. I am not sure if my phone region unlocked.

If some one can answer these questions, it will greatly appreciated:

1. How can I found if my phone region unlocked?
2. If it is not region unlocked, how do I unlock it?
3. If it is unlocked how do I get it to work on Canadian carrier?

Thank you

Verizon offers International support, including Canada: International Travel | Verizon Wireless

I would suggest contacting Verizon to see if there is a plan that works for you. Otherwise, you'll need to unlock the device in order to use another carrier's SIM card while in Canada.

Thanks,

The Verizon plan is much more expensive than using SIM card from CA carriers. Do I need to call Verizon and ask for the unlock code?

Verizon Note 4s are factory unlocked so you can use a foreign sim card as long as you are not in U.S. GSM foreign sim may require you to manually set APNS so if first time get sim card at a store who has someone who can help with APN set up. Not difficult once you know how to do it. Usually the APN settings come with the sim card.
