Considering Note over s21 Ultra

I've pondered this forever, Love everything about the Note 20 Ultra, especially the size and shape, S Pen and SD Slot. My biggest issues is Cameras?, not sure if coming from my S8 I'd really have an issue and then the screen. I know it's not much larger than the S21 Ultra, but do to it's width it looks huger. Ive been told that you wouldn't notice the size difference unless you compare side by side/ I did and I like the Note but then I love the S21 Ultra and it being cheaper than the Note it's hard to pss up. Any suggestions from the experts out there. Help

I'm in the same boat as you. I currently have the iPhone 12 Pro and I'm considering going back to Android after a short stint with iOS again. I've used every Note line since the Note 4 and two different Note 7's. I thought I'd like Apple again but I'm ready to switch back again soon. Just not sure which one to get is the problem.

Have exactly same thoughts with you!
It looks like S21 Ultra has better cameras than the Note but I prefer the boxy shape of the Note as well as the internal storage for the S Pen.
I will wait a little longer to see if Note 21 will be finally built, if not, I will most probably go for the Note 20 Ultra and not for the S21.

I just did that and picked the Note 20 ultra 512gb and have 200.gb card...
I prefer shape of the Note...use spen so its cool in inbuilt in the phone....want SD card and samsung pay works in all machines...
S21 ultra in my country is expensive and 512gb was not easily available...and with SD card transferring data takes secs....
I would choose Note any day...
And I have snapdragon version of Note which is not officially available in my country

One thing that could make a difference is the case you choose. If you have a habit of dropping a phone and need a Otter Box sized case the that’s going to add a lot more width and thickness.

I've seen people with a phones that look so much wider and thicker, blockier than mine and ask them which phone you using and they tell me N20U! It looks so unappealing to wanna own and carry.

If I wanted to go thick case, the Spigen Neo Hybrid would be my pick because the how the case tapers as it gets to the edges give the phone a feel of being thinner when holding the sides.

My LaterCase... with it on is about same width and height as my Note8 with Spigen Neo Hybrid that I was comfortable carrying for years so it’s the case for me. And keeps it super thin!

I kept an Otter Box cover on my S8 until about a month ago. I'm not prone to dropping my phone necessarily but when I pay alot of cash for things I like to protect them. For 3 yrs I had drop and spill warranty and the cover over my phone, it does have a crack on the back, but it was due to my daughters dog dragging me down the front door stairs and I fell landing on my phone that was in my pocket. I think I'll probably get the Note, if I decide on a better camera phone later then I'll wait until next yr or pay monthly for the S21 ultra later. I've tried to talk myself out of getting the Note and even though the S21 Ultra has a better camera altogether the Note still will do circles around my s8 and I really really like the shape and size of screen on the phone which is a big selling pt.

Meh....I won't have a bad thing said about the note cameras.

I have tried some shots with the S21U. Get just as good results out of the N20U.

Going to a civilian S over the note, wash yer mouth out!

Love your pictures, do you do photography also with dslr or just phone? It sure is beautiful country where you're at, here in Texas not so much. Do you do macro with the Note also, is it pretty good?

But on my Instagram I have shot exclusively with a phone for a good few years. I enjoy trying to get similar results with the shortcomings of a phone.
Not always possible, but fun trying.

The note and the s take amazing pictures. But perspective and composition are more important.

( In the house I have a pixel , iPhone and Huawei also. So, fun finding the differences )

Wow, which phone do you like the most for photography? I've only used Samsung, I've heard the Huawei was a much better camera. Seems like alot put iphone, pixel and Huawei above Samsung quality. I'm not or claim to be intelligent enough to be only android. I do have an old Nikon D5100 and 18 to 55 kit lense that I like but I've gotten where I want something better instead of using and knowing the camera for it's potential. I've thought about getting a few prime lenses for the camera and go from there. I love doing landscapes, nature and wildlife and close-ups of nature (lizards, insects) also like old buildings, so cool. Bye the way appreciate you commenting back, thanks.
