Considering switching to S8 from Moto Z Force

I have the Moto Z Force and am considering switching to the S8. I wanted to get some opinions on the S8.

In looking at reviews, I'm seeing some people reporting issues with Bluetooth. I rely on Bluetooth on the go and at home, so I want to make sure there won't be issues with pairing earbuds and a portable speaker.

My understanding is that the S8 has Samsung pay? Can Android pay be installed and used?

Any opinions on which phone is better? Some reviewers simply say that they hate the S8 or that it's terrible, but don't explain what the issues are.

Initially I'm thinking that I would want to keep the Moto Z Force and switch service to AT&T, but according to the AT&T website the IMEI that I've copied directly from my Verizon account isn't a valid IMEI so I don't know whether the Moto Z Force will work with AT&T.

I have an s8+. Love it. You can definitely use android pay....although I don't understand why you would choose that over samsung pay. Samsung pay does everything android pay does but is accepted at exponentially more vendors.

Haven't used Moto Z and rarely use Bluetooth, so can't comment on those.
Samsung Pay all the way! (but yes, you can make Android Pay default).
S8 for me... Has a gorgeous screen, fits perfectly in my hand, very responsive, good camera, decent battery and in general, a real pleasure to use.

Come over to the Darkside. I have the Verizon S8+ and love it. I haven't had any issues with BT and Samsung Pay works great and in a whole LOT more places than Android Pay.

As far as your Verizon Moto Z working on AT&T. It should. All Verizon phones are SIM unlocked and have the GSM radios turned on. I betting AT&T doesn't want you to bring your own phone and would rather sell you a SIM locked AT&T phone.

Being a Verizon customer though, I recommend getting the Verizon S8 or S8+ and sticking with Verizon. Yes it has the Verizon bloatware (which isn't all that much), but Verizon's service is really good, and it has been really good at getting the monthly updates out in a fairly timely manner. You can also use it pretty much anywhere in the world with Travel Pass or popping in an activated SIM. I've used my Verizon S8+ in Okinawa and Japan with no worries with Verizon's Travel Pass. My coworker used his Verizon S8 in Japan and New Zealand. All he did was pop in an activated SIM from a local carrier and was up in running.
