I am looking at the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 tablet. Just wondering if anyone can send picture samples in various lighting conditions (i.e: outside, inside, low light etc).

Also want some pros/cons of this tablet. My intended use is really just web browsing, ebooks, light games (solitaire, slots, farmville, candy crush) nothing intense or anything. Also watching videos. I am a daycare teacher and I would mainly use it for editing calendars in word, or excel spread sheets, photos of the kids/video's and such.

Thanks!

Not going to do photos but my wife's tablet is nice and bright inside in any lighting condition. Outside in direct sun areas not so good even when brightness is all the way up, but my Samsung Tab pro 8.4 is also bad outside. I noticed Costco a few weeks back had the Tab A 8.0 for $169.99 and I almost bought one as a spare.

This tablet should be great for your needs. The display is excellent in any condition other than direct sunlight, but that goes for pretty much any tablet as far as I know. It's only got 16GB of internal storage, so be sure not to bog it down with an abundance of apps, especially apps that constantly run in the background.

Also, with it being a "cheap" tablet, the build quality isn't the greatest....all plastic....so I'd definitely recommend getting a sturdy case in the event that one of those rug rats gets a hold of it. :-)

I went a head and got the 9.7 Inch. I thought I did decent with only paying $199. I got a full on kid proof case for it.

I did get a notice for a marshmallow update. Is there any reason not to upgrade? I have had issues with phone upgrades in the past. Just want to make sure that there aren't any bugs I need to be aware of. Thanks!

Do you know about how much room it will take up. I have about 6gig left on internal storage.

I did not see any significant difference in usage. It is replacing the old system. You should still have close to 6GB after the update.

If you haven't decided yet, I've had mine for over a year. It works very well and has some more functionality than the phone due to the larger screen but loses some functionality as my Samsung Galaxy S6 supports more apps and has the better camera, fingerprint scanner, sensors, etc. I personally use it for more work related items and reading as well. It got the Marshmallow update which really helped as well. I also like the SideSync and how it works between the phone and tablet.
