Constant blue notification light

Does any body else's notification light constantly blink blue? I even disabled the blink light notification and it still does it

Yes it does. And it does many colors using an app like Light manager.

In apps & notifications under the Allow Notifications Dots option is an option Blink Light

yeah it does, upper right corner, search in settings for light, yours might be turned off

How long has it been doing this? Do you have Bluetooth enabled, or anything else running in the background that could be causing that blinking? Has a restart fixed anything? Worst case scenario, a factory reset (after backing everything up), may help.

Want to say within the past week. Bluetooth is disabled right now but normally I always have it on. Not sure how to tell what apps are running in the background, feel like that went away with Oreo. Restart fixes temporarily but it comes back. Probably will do a factory reset at some point soon but not worth it for just this.

I could swear I read about someone else posting about the exact same problem either in this forum or XDA and they foud a fix. Try a search on both forums

Somebody else on here had a rogue app that was doing it had to go through the apps one by one to figure it out

Not sure but I don't find it useful because I haven't figured out why it seems selective on when it notifies.
I also don't find notification lights that important based on my usage style but that's just me.

Went through and force closed apps one by one, ended up being next sms. app deleted problem solved.

I think google wants you to use AOD for notifications. I have AOD off and use light manager or you can use light flow to manage your notification light.

Agreed but AOD is way too hard to read notification there so small , I just turn it off , light manager for me
