Constant "no match" face recognition unlock fails

So I'm getting this annoying issue that I've experienced since the S9+ and S10+ where the phone struggles to unlock through face recognition even though im in clear light. I redid my face shot outside in plain daylight and still does it. The symptoms are: either it just says "no match" immediately after turning on the screen, or it struggles with the little white light constantly blinking until it gives up. I don't know if having a beard is the issue? And that's why I've had that issue for the last 3 gens, but not with the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G. I also wear glasses.
I tried searching for a "face" system app to clear cache but I couldn't find any.
Any suggestions will be appreciated

I'm not so sure with the S9+ but the S10+ does a pretty good job for me. It often picks me up when I don't intend for it to, with safety glasses even. I'm assuming you've set it up and immediately attempted to unlock it, same lighting, same background? What was that result?

Have you tried using the "Add alternative look" option? I'm not saying to shave, unless that's something you want, but try saving another image in a different setting and see if that improves the recognition.

The only other thing I can think of would be to use the device in Safe Mode for a while and see if the response is better. If there's an app causing some issue with the camera or its performance Safe Mode would block that action.

Never had this issue on any of my Galaxy's. It unlocks so fast that I had to turn off the auto go to last screen option . Crazy that you've experienced this on mutliple phones.

too much light will hide features so maybe try a darker location. Ever noticed in those before and after shots in skin ads, the after shots usually has brighter lights?

What happened with adding another look? You use that for the darker image maybe?

No issues on any of my Samsung devices regardless of lighting conditions. Try redoing or adding more looks.

Welcome to AC!
Have you tried safe mode?

Do you wear glasses? If so, have you put them on and taken them off when adding your face unlock? Have you cleaned your front facing camera?
