Constant resets....

Anyone else have to reset your watch recently. In the past few weeks I've had to reset my watch three times to reconnect to my s24u. Woke up again to it disconnected. Easy to reset it with a backup from smart switch but in a pain in the butt to do it over and over again. This time I turned off auto updates from the play store and not updating wear os app to see if that helps.

My watch seven ultra was bulletproof from the day I bought it last fall.

It has reset itself four times in the last few weeks.

It's gotten to the point where I don't put my credit cards on the watch anymore because of the effort it takes to re-register them with the bank everytime

The last time it reset was while I was actually looking at the watch, about a week ago. It literally reset before my very eyes.

I have absolutely ZERO third party applications on the watch, by the way. Just native samsung and google.

BONUS: the watch will no longer restore previous backups after one of these errant resets. It reports that the wi fi direct connection to the watch failed, requiring it to be set up as a new watch each time. Removing and re-adding the wi fi connection objects does not resolve this issue, either.

I'm not sure what I can do at this point. I certainly can't trust it any longer.

S25 Ultra. Verizon. No cellular account on the watch. Only Bluetooth.

I have a Samsung Ultra that I pre-ordered. It worked great for a time but over the last few months it just kept going downhill with data that seemed totally off and then resetting. I finally gave up and bought a Garmin that I've been using since a week ago today. Hopefully, it gives me better service than the Sammy Ultra

Lol. Mine just reset itself again, just as I was checking text messages (Google)

Made it nearly a week this time.

That's an improvement.

Update:
It let me restore the backup this time. If it will let me restore the backup each time now, that'll save me at least a couple hours every week recovering from the "mandatory" reset.

Winning!

I deleted all my watch backups after restoring this morning. Hopefully it backs up again before i have to reset it again. Still have not updated the wear os app in the google play store yet. See alot of bad reviews for that app stating their watches have been resetting.

I haven't experienced any resetting. But what mine is doing is it randomly stops counting steps.

That's not a huge issue. My GW ultra will constantly lock while I'm wearing it, requiring me to enter the pin, and, it will randomly not lock when I take it off. It's a huge issue because the security is compromised.

Imagine getting your watch stolen and the person who stole it is now making purchases from the watch, simply because it failed to lock once it was removed from wearing.

My watch ultra has not reset itself for nearly a week now, in 100% stock form.

If I get really crazy later, I might try installing an application or registering a credit card on it.
