Consumers Reports rates Galaxy S III camera best

You shouldn't spam the forum by posting this multiple times.

Dear Forum Police. I posted it once to the General S III forum and once to the ATT S III Forum. I thought it would be of interest to those who aren't specifically on ATT and to those who are (like myself). Hardly spamming. Now go back to policing the forum. I'm sure someone will appreciate your tireless efforts.

Went to the ATT store today to play with it and found the placement of the volume rocker was challenging when using the camera when using it in landscape mode. The left thumb naturally sits on the bottom of the phone right where the rocker switch is.. Anyone else notice this? And yes, the camera is lightning fast and appears to take great photos.

Really want to like this phone, but at these prices, I don't want to waste an upgrade, LOL

Unless you plan to buy the unlocked version, this phone will run you $199. Not sure what prices you're referring to.

Come on dude. Aren't ya nick picking just a little:p??..Saw many post from you and thought you would have purchased the phone already. Its like you are looking for excuses not to like and therefore not buy it. Come!!!...Come to the darkside my son!!... ;)

It would be awesome if the volume controls could be used to snap a picture like on many other phones. Otherwise I love the camera here.

The volume controls allow you to control the digital zoom when in the camera app

You quoted them incorrectly. CR still says the iPhone 4S camera is the best while the S III is among the best.

OK, I'm a reasonable man. Where exactly did the article or I say anything about the iPhone 4S? And when did I "quote" them? You do know the meaning of quoting and misquoting don't you?

I'm not really all that impressed with the camera. Despite a macro setting, close-up shots are usually blurry (even with flash). And I tried a few low-light test shots across a room, trying to focus on objects about 10 feet away, and the pictures keep coming out really out of focus, even with the flash. Shots of close things (not macro close, though) seem to be extremely clear.

Anyone take any successful macro shots of small objects???

To be fair, you did title the thread "Consumer Reports rates Galaxy S III camera best"

And you said this:

"Consumers Reports rates the Galaxy S III camera as the best on three carriers."

So you may not have said anything about the iPhone, but by titling your thread the way you did and saying what you said in your OP you did misquote the article.

But also to be fair he did not mention the iPhone nor did the Consumers Report article he referenced...
