Contact Picture quality

I could not find a thread for this so hopefully its not a duplicate. Just got my new Galaxy Nexus and have noticed that once great looking contact pictures are now stretched and or "fuzzy". Why is this. Is there a setting I am missing. Anyone else with this issue. Obviously there is no Facebook sync, so we are stuck with our pictures.

For now I used syncmypix to sync facebook images but you are correct the image looks awful

I think google contacts are resized to 96x96, yet ICS now uses 256x256. You can edit them manually on the phone for higher res ones, but until google updates to allow higher res pictures for contact syncing, it will look bad.

You can go on your friends Facebook and set there profile pic as there contacts pic manually. That's what I've done it was a pain because you have to do them individually but it looks better than that Friendster sync crap.
