Contact Ringtones and MMS Ringtones

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I am new to the DINC2 and cannot figure this out. Is there anyway to set a different notification ringtone for each contact with the stock text message app? If I could I would like to use the stock text message app rather than something like handcent.

You can continue using stock text app with the addition of ringo lite found for free at the market. It allows you to set different text message alerts on an individual basis.
