Contact Search app doesnt do its job

I recently downloaded my contacts from two different sources, Windows Mail and Thunderbird. Also the contacts from my Blackberry Storm were transferred to the Incredible. The key feature of Contact Search, searching for company name, doesnt work. I have transferred all contacts to my gmail account, back to my sds card, back to gmail, syc'd, and it still can find company names on my database. Contact Search support doesn't get it, HTC support doesn't get it. Anyone had this problem. I have 900 contacts, I don't want it enter them back in one by one.

I added the Goolge Search Widget defaulted to People to my home screen.

Menu
Add to Home
Widget
Scroll down to Google Search and Select it
Select 'People' when prompted.

This creates a 1 x 4 widget, just click on it, and type in the persons name or business.

If you want to search for more than company names, then you'll need a different app.

Google's gesture search may do it.

If you want to use something with the Quick Search Box (Google Search) mentioned above, then have a look at Contact Lookup or Contact Search +
