Contact share not working

After one of the recent KitKat updates, my contact share no longer works. When I try and share one using gmail or the built in email app, instead of getting an attachment that says something like "john smith.vcf", I get "2345i76:350" or some other internal ID. Then the email doesn't send because of a bad attachment. I've tried this on my Nexus 7 with the same version of KitKat and it works as it always did. Any thoughts on how I can fix this? Thanks.

Yes, thanks, I know it's not a wide spread bug in KitKat. Sharing works fine on my 2012 Nexus 7 with the same OS. However, it is happening to my Nexus 4 since the upgrade and I can't figure out why, or how to fix it. I was hoping that someone would have had this happen to them as well and have a fix, or a good workaround.
