Contact specific ringtones not working properly

Has anyone had any issues with contact specific ringtones not playing properly? It seems like the ringtones I set for contacts only go off half the time. The rest of the time, it will just come through as the default ringtone for all calls. Anyone run into this?

what did you use to set the ringtone? curious for documentation purposes. I hadn't had that issue yet on android but I used zedge app to set it to specific contacts. I haven't got around to doing this yet on my phone. I still have the stock one that sounds like Owl City's Fireflys for everyone. I don't receive many calls, so this hasn't been a problem yet. I do go back to work today and need to get me something better.

I edit my own songs on my computer and save them as mp3's. I've used the same ones on my Moto Q and Palm Pre perfectly fine so I don't think it's the file that is corrupt. I save them to media>audio>ringtones. When I set the ringtones, I just go to the contact I want, go to change ringtone and then set it.

I don't have this device yet, but people from captivate forum reported that Ringo Lite gave really good results for settings contact specific ringtone. Give it a shot.
