Contact sync with Google

This is just to pass on some information about contracts syncing. I, like a lot of people, sync my contacts with Google on my Note 4 as well as my GNP tablet. Yesterday I added the birthdays of my good friends kids. In contact (event) editing I selected "custom" and put the kids name the the word birthday. I thought for fun I would a birthday cake emoji at the end. Saved it all then tried to sync this morning. I got the error message that sync failed and Google would be back later. I tried for several hours to figure it out. Finally I remembered the emojis I added. Went to that contact, deleted emojis and sync was fine.
So if you run into this issue, check that first.

Yup, it's a known Contacts bug. Anything with emojis on the name or fields usually 'breaks' sync. Some foreign characters might as well.

Contact sync is ASCII, not unicode, that's why.
