contacts and google mail

i was told that i could save my contacts and information to google mail by syncing my fone with google.... any one have an answer on this?

Well before I switched over to my Captivate, I used google sync and synced my contacts from my bb bold 9000 to my gmail account and then when I logged my gmail account into the captivate less then 30 seconds all of my contacts were there.. Making changes to a contact, I just log into my gmail account and make it there, phone automatically syncs the contacts on the fly!

Google Sync works the other direction, too...make a change to one of your contacts on your phone and the change will show up in your gmail contacts.

That is true.. I forgot to mention that as well but sometimes it is easier to just log into gmail and do it right on the computer..
