Contacts disappear and phone won't sync

So my contacts all suddenly went POOF. When I go to the screen it says I don't have any and to sync, when I request a sync it does nothing. I restarted it, no change. Tested and sent an email to my gmail and it popped up just fine. My contacts online are all up to date, so I just need get it to sync again!

I have a MyTouch 3G if anyone needs to know.
