Contacts in multimode

So why have so many of my contacts have so many entries? I use S voice to try and call someone and she always says there is more than one entry. Defeats the purpose of making it so easy to use S voice. I want the multi entries to go away.

Go to Contacts - - > Settings - - > Contacts to Display and choose which group you want. Worked for me, I chose Phone.
