Contacts Issue - Not Saving Properly

I've done some research, and didn't want to add to this older thread I found with the same issue as it was from a year or so ago as the S9 wasn't out and things have probably changed:

I have the same or similar type of issue. I can't seem to see any of the Google contacts I have in my phone, but I can search for them.

Tried syncing everything to Google, didn't work, reset the phone after and nothing. Turned on the display all contacts even without numbers (found my test ones I did which I saved to phone though.).

I've also tried to re-create a new contact and then link them to the google ones, and they then disappear from my Contacts after I link them.

So how do I get these Google contacts to my phone so I can see them when I want rather than searching for them?

Edit:
Issue Resolved

Turns out that using Dr. before the name gets ignored as it believes that doctors should be sorted by the first name and not under D for doctor. I had the name as:
Dr. Joe Smith.

The name only would show under J for Joe and not D for Dr.

It actually had nothing to do with Google Syncing not working...
