contacts issue

help!... either my phone or my gmail account is duplicating/merging/royally screwing up my contacts to the point where i cannot even tell who is calling anymore. has anyone had this problem before?

is there a way for me to clear off all my contact information without hard reseting my phone? i tried to remove the google account but it won't let me

You can try deleting all of them from Google Contacts from your computer, and then deleting them from your phone. I think if you re-sync it'll just put all of the contacts from your phone right back into Google Contacts.

yeah i tried that once but it started the duplication all over again... gonna remove all evidence of fb from my phone, rebuild my contacts on gmail and start over
