Contacts ringtone question

New to EVO phone and was wondering, How can u place custom ringtones for each contacts?

Select you contact. Look down then hit ringtone.

Open the contact under "people," and scroll down...

Where are you saving your custom ringtones? Better yet, how are you creating your ringtones?

Coming from iTunes. then placing them on desktop, then usb to EVO.

It's an app called Ringdroid in the market. Works great. You can edit the part you want to set as your ring tone.

Yea...that's what I use. I was asking the OP what he/she was using, and where he/she was storing them. 10:1 he/she is storing them in the wrong folder if they're not showing up. If he/she uses Ringdroid they will automatically get stored correctly.

Jamie, you need to put your ringtones in your media/audio/ringtones folder for them to work properly. When you're plugged in and dragging and dropping, open that folder and drag and drop away

PS; I'm not positive if they have to be MP3, (but those work) but I don't know if the MP4 aka AAC files that iTunes uses will play or not on the Evo. Use MP3 downloader (market) by Bestsoft, and you can get pretty much any song on the planet....for free. Or, you can download a converter...I have yet to find one of those that work worth a damn though.

I can see my ringtones but they dont stay as the contact tone after i select it...my default tone works but not the contacts... Inspire 4G
