I'm pretty hesitant to revisit this subject, although I have the ultimate confidence in those who help.

The last time I thought I was following the correct procedure, I ended up with double the number of contacts due to duplication. It literally took me three days to delete the duplicates.

If you choose not to reply to this thread, that will be understood.....

I have a Motorola Edge Plus 2023 and Android 14.

I have two Gmail accounts. One for "business" communication and one for "personal" use . At this time one has 1336, the other has 2441. For what it's worth, I have a device total of 2354 and "all contacts" total of 2461. Im not sure why the last two didn't match up with either of the first. That's not important, though.

My desire is to have..... Both of my Gmail accounts to have identical contacts and information available to me

I currently have settings to add new contacts to my personal account.

Over time I've run into....a contact I needed was only in the device and business, but not in the personal category. So I would share by email and import to the personal account.

At this moment, I can't recall what setting I think I had wrong, but I must've been backing up to both accounts into the primary, or something similar, to cause the large extra number of duplicates ??? I don't know. Back in the past, several years ago and a previous phone, I did have it setup where it functioned perfectly. I'm just gunshy about syncing and a time disaster of deleting duplicates. I've used apps to delete duplicates, but they were not perfect.

I know this exorbitantly long, sorry, but I wanted to give detailed problem and desired result info to help as much as possible.

Thank you very much for your time and help.
