I noticed earlier that a contact I definitely have is not listed. I checked "display all contacts" is checked. I also checked my gmail account on PC to see if it was listed. It is not so thought I must of deleted it. But when entering the number on my S4 the name is displayed with the blue g logo next to it. It will not let me store this number again. Any ideas fellow users?

make sure all Contacts are saved to your Google account - and not to your Internal local storage of phone.

Do you have face book contacts enabled? It will show on the phone but not on gmail

No I definitely do not have Facebook synced and not so long ago I reset my phone so has no contacts stored anywhere else. New sim aswell.

Put the number in again and it brought up the name! Dont know how but I was able to save it to google contacts. Very strange.

Did you have sync on when you put it in the phone? If so it automatically uploaded it
