Contacts wont link to Facebook to get profile pictures

I have the galaxy 6 edge and it used to automatically sync all my contacts with their most recent facebook pictures but a week ago it randomly factory reset and now I can't get any contacts to sync with facebook at all. When I go to setting and accounts and Facebook it says the sync contacts is selected but it's not working. Any suggestuons. I really don't want to download an app because I know it's possible because it worked before my phone reset
