Contacts

I'm not even sure how to ask or describe what's going on. Some of my contacts seem to have synced with themselves. I have one contact that has 4 entries from my email account. 2 are just a name and one has a phone number. I tried to remove all the information from the fields(except 1), save and then sync and I ended up with the same as before. Not sure what I'm missing but it shouldn't be this way, right?

My wife's phone (Nexus 5) does that too.

I've never had time to figure out exactly what the cause is, but if you open the Contacts app, tap Menu -> Contacts to display and then tap your Google account only, the extra entries will disappear.

I hate it. I do have it set to only display my Google contacts, but some have so many entries.
