Controlling Chromecast Power

I have noticed that once the Chromecast is plugged in it provides a constant signal. Is there any way to power down and power up the chromecast without unplugging it? Better yet, can the signal be disabled and enabled from the browser?

No and no lol...

Sorry buddy, but as of right now, those are your answers. Remember though, the ChromeCast is still very early in development (hell, there's only a few Google apps that can take advantage of it right now, with many more rumored apps coming soon) so as of right now, there isn't a way to shut it down without unplugging it. Or, like mine, if it is powered from a USB port on the TV, when the television is turned off, it cuts the power to the ChromeCast.
