As people have noted, the led is very bright. I would like to be able to use the led but either make it more dim or turn it off completely at night. Is there any way to accomplish this? I looked at lightflow but did not see any feature that looked like it would fix my use case. I guess I could put the phone into do not disturb mode overnight and that would disable the led? Not sure if there's a better solution...

I use the DND mode at night and set it to only allow priority calls.

As my eyes are usually closed, I'm not even sure if the LED stops flashing! :) I think it does, though....

I'll test that out...last night my phone was in a different room and I looked up at one point (could not even directly see the phone) and the other room was lit up with the flashing led! It's absurdly bright!

IF I remember, I still had LEDs in DND mode. But there are settings in DND to play with, so not 100% sure what is capable.

Also, watch out with Lightflow. I read it causes errors with the ambient doze mode.

Lightflow doesn't seem to be updated yet and caused the ambient display to breath constantly.

I'm sure the dev will catch up soon though and once he does you will be able to change a lot more about your LED such as:

Colour
Timing and frequency of light
Brightness
...

It's a great app so hopefully it works soon.

LED definitely still goes off in DND mode by default. Not sure if you can change this outside of turning it off.

Thanks, however based on what others are saying about lightflow, it needs to be updated to not make the ambient screen freak out.
Ambient screen comes on twice in the first 30 seconds or so after I use the power button to turn off the display. Not sure I would say it freaks out. I haven't seen any other issues myself.

I installed lightflow to control colors on the Led. Worked well except it drained my battery. You can even turn off led at night. But because of the drain I decided to uninstall and just use default white led color. However at night even with DND, led still comes on. No I have just turned off led. Bummer.

What I ended up doing:

1. Installed lightflow and set led brightness to 10% (which is plenty bright enough for me).
2. Disabled ambient display which I didn't think was working very well anyways.

Actually, I ended up uninstalling lightflow after one day due to its battery hogging. I guess I will be going for facedown if I find the brightness bothering me...

Hey mr_nobody - sorry to hear of your battery problem with Light Flow - I am not having any such issue; in fact, I upgraded to the paid version.

Might suggest you do a reboot, then re-install, then reboot again and give it another try. I also have it now set to NOT run in foreground - and it is still working 100% correctly.

Thanks, can't remember if I had it set to foreground or not, I had it on whatever the default setting was? It was clear it was preventing the phone from dozing though based on the battery graph. I think I'll wait for the dev to update it for marshmallow.
